well it depends on the academic ranking of college your looking at. Top 25, berkeley is known for their engineering programs, MIT is a good school for that too, also Caltech, but these are very competitive schools. It also depends on the type of engineering you want to do, like computer, electrical, mechanical, civil, industrial and systems, and so on. There are many different types and once you get to high school youll be exposed to many schools who offere engineering and which ones are more prestigious, while others may be a smaller school, but still with a very well developed program. once you start high school, you should look into it, and take the appropriate classes and get appropriate grades depending on the which school you want to get into. But dont worry about it now. have fun! you only get to be a teenager once, and in high school you will have plenty of mail from hundreds of colleges sending you stuff. I wasnt even thinking about college in middle school

Johns Hopkins is good for engineering; my sister got a degree in that at Hopkins and went on to a Ph.D. in physics at University of Rochester. This is not the same as the Rochester Institute of Technology, which might be the school you’re referring to.

evaluate Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, huge apple. the faculty itself is placed acceptable outdoors of Albany, and approximately 2-3 hours from the two huge apple city and Boston. that is on the smaller ingredient, and actually not a huge “occasion college,” so it would desire to not be for all and sundry. they have an excellent acceptance in very virtually each field of engineering, in spite of the very undeniable fact that i’m not sure they have petroleum engineering, and an incredible variety of properly popular engineers have graduated from there, inclusive of: Washington Roebling, builder of the Brooklyn Bridge George Ferris, inventor of the Ferris Wheel Jack Swigert, Apollo 13 astronaut George Low, former NASA administrator (do not ask how I surely have those memorized) good success on your college seek. do not ignore to look into the U. S. information and worldwide comments scores, those are very powerful.
