Food Science or Human nutrition?

i am currently offering biological science in college and i’d like to major in either food science or human nutrition.the problem is im quite undecisive.if you were to be in my shoes which one would you choose and why?

I believe I would major in human nutrition. As I think about our aging culture and how many baby boomers will comprise the aged community, there willl be a huge demand in a few years for services to the elderly. Someone who understands and can treat the many diseases that afflict the elderly purely from a nutrition standpoint would have a highly lucrative career.

That’s what I would do.

I would say food science is where the jobs are. Human nutrition has limited job options, dietitians usually need a masters to be licensed, where as food scientists can find work and then your work will pay for advanced education.

I would have choose human nutrition .i have studied both human nutrition n food science in my bachelor level . n there i found human nutrition more interesting n in my later years of study i found its more required . even if u r interested to choose it as profession . there r lot of scope . even the food science industry need knowledge of human nutrition .

i have masters in home economic .
