When applying to college, how does the college look at your extracirricular activities? Does the high school transcript state your activites?

The degree of emphasis a college places on extracurriculars varies from institution to institution. In general, the will go in your favor if you already have the test scores and grades to qualify. It also depends which activity – choir or band might be better than a paintball club for instance! Also, overall commitment to a certain activity can look good (4 years varsity sport, glee club, ect.).

Civil Air Patrol is an rather good company – West element will provide some credit for that. even if this is on your sort of pastimes, you would possibly want to seem into challenge Scouting. Its a ‘branch’ of BSA that accepts boys & females – a lengthy time period 14 – 21, and pushes for ‘larger-element’ activities – consisting of enticing in (or probable growing crew individuals in) COPE direction, or EMT training, or caving, or, historic interest, or… properly.. its in worry-free words restricted by utilizing the imaginations and decision of the teens individuals – they quite are the ‘leaders’ of this methodology. And the challenge ‘Silver’ award is broadly recognized by utilizing faculties/universities and protection rigidity courses at least of an equivalent to the BSA ‘Eagle’ rank. you may also evaluate Sea Scouts – i believe there’s a application no longer faraway from you.

You fill that out on the actual application, there should be a spot to list extracurriculars/volunteer work/work experience/etc.

Some colleges will also let you attach a resume as well.

No; you have to list them seperatly. Usually there’s a space on College applications for Extracirric programs.
