Definitely Economics. I had the same choice 6 years ago and went with Econ. You can learn to be a manager in the workforce, but you won’t learn Econ. Plus, a degree in management doesn’t mean very much to employers. Also, it’s not likely that you will be brought into a new job right out of school as a manager. You have to work your way up. My finance/econ degree got me my job. Now I manage people.

If you definitely want to go directly into a business management career path, you should pick that. Otherwise, you should consider economics. It will provide the opportunity to work for business (because economics teaches analytical skills), government, or pursue additional education (such as a graduate degree in economics or an mba). Additional education will provide you with even more opportunities.

Management. Economics is very focused on just that subject and does not give you a broader perspective of how businesses operate.

Double major or major and minor. Either way, you will be fine.
