The branch campuses of Ohio State have open admission. You live in Ohio, you have a high school diploma or a GED? You’re in.

Ohio State at Lima

Ohio State at Mansfield

Ohio State at Marion

Ohio State at Newark

A lot of people stay at these colleges for four year degrees but you can very easily transfer to Ohio State if you want to, once you get started and show them that you can do college level work. You don’t even really have to “apply” to transfer; it’s easier than that (If you want to go to OSU in Columbus).

Youngstown State is also especially easy to get into, if you are looking for something further north. But it doesn’t have truly open admission like the Ohio State regional campuses do.
