Dropped a class in college….?
It’s my second week of classes and I dropped a class before the official deadline to drop classes was up. So it shouldn’t show up on my transcript as a W?

W means “withdrawn” — which refers to a class being withdrawn after the deadline. Dropping a class before the deadline means that it won’t show up anywhere, period (the university will probably not even keep their own records of this because class enrollment changes on a day-to-day basis before the drop deadline). It will certainly never show up on your transcript since you dropped on time, even if you got a failing grade on a test before you dropped the class. 😉

So long as you dropped it before the add/drop deadline, it won’t show up on your transcript at all.

As long as you withdraw prior to the official deadline date (which is usually the 12th class day for state census records) you will be fine. It will be as if you never even took the class.

i’m really unsure as to how it works, but a W is not that bad, right?
