No. Colleges focus on your high school transcript and significant accomplishments during high school. However, getting a head start during middle school will pay off and allow you to take more challenging courses in high school. So keep working hard and you will be on the right path.

no they wont. they will look at your cummulative grades throughout high school. how much foreign language expeirence you have. awards and such you got in high school, your attendence (a bit) (i was gone a few days a week but it didnt effect me) they’ll read alot into the recommendations you get, try to get some from teachers and staff especially from the department of the major you want to go into. (if you want to be a science major get some recommendations from the teachers in the science department). they will also look at what activties you have been involved with, mostly during high school, and im reffering to both school and community activties.

dont stress to much, it all depends on the college and what they personally look for, like i said i had very low attendence, no activies, the only thing i had going for me was foreign languages and good grades. but just rack your brains and think of anything/everything you did in high school and write it down, or if your not in high school yet, try to keep a track record of even the smallest awards and activies.

no they don’t, and about the languages, if you started freshman year in Latin 2, they would assume you took Latin 1 in 8th grade. I don’t think they’d look at your grades, but they would be very happy that you took a language in middle school

No, they normally just look at grade 10 on, especially your grade 12 marks and exam results
