Does College really make a difference?

Put yourself in the position of hiring someone. Two great candidates, one has a degree and one doesn’t. Guess who gets hired? A degree definitely looks better on your resume, but depending on what career field you plan to go into, it might not make a difference as far as getting you more pay. Some advanced positions, do however, require a degree, whether or not it’s pertinent to the career.
If you want to be looked at as a professional, you need a college degree. Without that on your resume, you will not get through the door with most companies.
School can be frustrating some times, but stick it out. It will be worth it in the end.
Regarding your observation that some people are making more money even though they do not have college degree – Money is only one aspect of total life – what about other aspects? How do these people behave socially? What kind of work habits they have? There are always exceptions to the rule. But the fact remains that majority of successful people have undergone college education.
Rest assured – You are not wasting your money, you are investing your money and time.
With that said, not everyone has to go to college to earn a good living. We desperately need skilled and licensed electricians, plumbers, washer and dryer repairmen, roofers, etc. Ask some homeowners how long they have to wait for a good repairman. Someone said to me that “no one who does good work has to advertise or is wanting for work.” Believe me, that is true.
You need to think of the fact that people will hire you if u have qualifications. It looks better on the CV.
The qualifications you get from college prove thtat you will be able to work.
And lol how do i know all this? Do i even know? Im gonna shut up. Im only in Year 10.
Anyway thegrades u get from college could be used as a back up plan in case you fail to be employed or make your own business. COLLEGE IS GOOD.
There’s a saying that I’ve heard and find it to be true quite often … “A” students will always work for “C” students, because those who know how always work for those who know why.
I wish you all the success in life that you’re willing to work for
