You have to do 4 years of college. Then an additional 2 years of pharmacy school. Give or take total amount of time spent in school is about 6 years. Good Luck and pharmacist are in high demand.

The normal course of study in order to become a RPh is 5 years. If you already have a BS in either Biology or Chemistry it’s 3 years. To study an additional 6th year you become a RPhD which is a clinical pharmacist that works closely with doctors. Please note that you do not need to have a degree in New Jersey to go to pharmacy school.

it all depends. it can take anywhere from 5 to 8 years.

There are many advantages to pharmacy. They are:

1) Takes less time to finish

2) You can start a family and maintain it and see your kids everyday

3) Most jobs are 9-5

4) Starting salary is 75-150K depending on location

5) One of the most trusted profession in the US

6) Very flexible working schedule

7) You still get to be involved in a patient;s life

Good Luck with your decision! Feel free to contact me if you are interested in pharmacy!
