Do you think i have a chance to get into oxford/cambridge- oxbridge?

I’m an A level student predicted 3 A’s at A level and 2 A’s at two different As level subjects. I do some charity/ volunteer work, Top of my college year in Law and won some uk law essays competitions. However my gcse aren’t so good, the highest I achieved in gcse are B’s. Most people that go to oxbridge got 6A*’s atleast. I might have good grades but i’m competing against people with the same A level predictions as me, done more extra curriculum activities and got much higher grades than me in gcse. How am I mean to compete against them?? Because I really want to go oxford/cambridge and I want to proof some people wrong (espmy parents). And do i even have a chance of getting a interview???

It’s worth a try. Hopefully they will realise that the low GCSE grades were due to immaturity you’ve overcome. If you’re from a state school, or especially some other underprivileged background, they are under government and league table pressure to take more students like you, so you might have a chance. And if not, remember that there are plenty of other outstanding universities in the UK.

before everything, its good which you’re optimistic yet once you swap up at your interview giving all of it “i understand merely as much as laptop programmers of their 30’s”, they gained’t provide help to in. each Uni needs pupils who’re desirous to augment their studying and do nicely, you’re able to desire to offer off that impact, and albeit you’re giving off particularly a detrimental impact. A stages are approximately 10x extra durable than GCSE’s, in case you could not get larger than a C in some subjects at GCSE i does not be so optimistic thatyou can get all As at a point without putting in plenty lot lot of artwork! you say which you probably did minimum artwork at GCSE, you isn’t waiting to try this at a point. i could look into what you opt for qualification clever to get into Oxford/ Cambridge. needless to say all A’s at a point, yet possibly they may additionally choose for an greater point of GCSE grades than you have on the 2d. i could prepare to be dissatisfied however, acquaintances i understand who went to Oxford have been given all A*s at GCSE and worked particularly not easy to realize that.
