Do I need the SAT to get into college????? I have a 3.5 GPA?
is there an expection at all?? Looking to go to Valdost State University

You must submit either SAT or ACT scores for Valdosta State. Only a very few schools, mostly New England liberal arts colleges, accept students without a standardized test score. Almost all accept the ACT in place of the SAT.

Most colleges want a SAT or ACT score cause they are set by national standards. They look at the gpa but don’t fully rely on them cause they are all set on different tests classes work and teacher standards.
