Shortest amount of time I’ve seen is 5 yrs. It takes 2 yrs to finish all the pharmacy school prerequisite courses. Then, pharm school takes another 4 yrs normally. However, some schools are year round like the University of the Pacific so you can finish in 3 years. That’s a total of 5 yrs (2 + 3).

And don’t type like that. Very immature. Very bad habit. You might accidentally slip and have an admissions officer or person considering you for a job see and toss your name out b/c they think you have the mind of a child.

In addition to the above responses, getting a job as a Pharmacy Technician whether in the retail (i.e. Longs, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) realm or the institutional (i.e. hospital in-patient) realm, would lend a great deal of knowledge and insight in to the profession. Even if you’re not willing to do this, being a volunteer in the Pharmacy and getting to know the basics of how things work would also look good on your resume when applying to Pharmacy school. The latter suggestion most likely only accounts for a once-a-week, few month commitment, allowing you to back out should you decide it’s not for you.

Here’s a list of Pharmacy schools:

Good luck and study hard!

If you are in high school, and plan everything accordingly, you can graduate within 5 years!!!

Pharmacy has a lot of advantages. These are:

1) Takes less time to finish compared to med school

2) If you plan everything correctly you can graduate pharm school when you are only 23 years old

3) Starting salary is 75-150k depending on location and need

4) You do not have to deal with blood

5) You will finish faster than your medical school student counterparts

6) You will always have a job, even if you;re 99 year old

7) Most jobs are 9-5 meaning that you will get to have a family life

CONS

1) Insurance – enough said

2) Dealing with patients (sometimes, the bad ones, suck)

First thing, a pharmacist must be computer literate. The shortest programs are 6 years.

lose the ‘leetspeak’ for starters. You won’t even get in writing like you do. Once you get into pharmacy school it is 3 or 4 years, depending on whether school is year-round or not.

Of course, how long it takes to get in is variable.

you would be lucky if you could find a school with a program of six years. most schools across the country are upping it up to 8 years. if you wanna be a pharamcist, better give yourself the time to do it. it isn’t something that you can rush through and do. they make the admission to most pharm schools tough for a reason.
