Degree in Business field help?
I am currently leaning towards a degree in business but need help deciding on which field of business i want to go into. Here are the options at my university…
-Accounting
-Computer Information Systems
-Finance and General Business
-Industrial Management
-Management
-Marketing
All of these fields have subfields within them that have more specific degree offerings such as International Business Administration for the Management degree but I just can’t seem to pick one. Any advice would be helpful. Especially if you have direct experience with one of these fields. Thank You.

In my experience, you can scratch off CIS if you hate programming. If you’ve never done programming, then try taking a course. You can often take it as elective credit so it’s not going to be a waste even if you don’t go through with it.

I am working on my degree in Business with concentration in Marketing. I love it. It taps into so many areas such as advertising, public relations, accounting, and consumer behavior. I considered finance but that does get covered alot as well in marketing. Accounting will kinda limit your options because you will be doing the same type of thing where as marketing you can branch out in all different directions. No matter what you choose, having a business degree in todays world is crucial and so very important since there are always going to be businesses!!!
