Deciding Colleges (also MD vs. DO)?

I’m a senior in high school with a GPA of a little over 3.75 and an ACT score of 32. I plan on going to college pre-med with my major most likely being biology. The two schools I’m looking at are Ohio State and Ohio University. OSU has an MD program, while OU has a DO program. I know there aren’t many differences, but I plan on becoming a surgeon. If I were to go to OU, my academics would get me free tuition, so I’m leaning towards it, but the problem is that I’m not sure if I can become a surgeon with a DO school. Anyone know anything about this?

COnsidering the fact that you are going to get into OU with a FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP, I would go with this school. DO schools are primarily for premeds who did not get good enough scores to get into MD schools and/or those who are interested in osteopathic manipulation techniques.
