Cornell University: Do you think I will get accepted?
I have not participated in any extra curricular activities, being that I live so far from my high school, the only way I can get home is by bus, so I am unable to stay after school. Over the summer I plan to get a job and volunteer at the local hospital. Also, I plan to keep that job and volunteer at the hospital all through my senior year.
I took a practice SAT on collgeboard.com and I got a 610 in Math and a 510 in reading. I know that when I take the real test in a few months I will do a lot better, if not I will retake it.
Do you think I could get accepted into Cornell University?
Is there anyone out there who has been accepted?
Favorite Answer
– 3.79 High School GPA (unweighted)
– Top 7% of Graduating Class
– Varsity Tennis
– About 5 or 6 extra-curricular activities
– 2nd Grade Tutor
– ACT: 32 (Top 1%)
– Eagle Scout
– Worked Part Time
I don’t know how much that helps, but I think in your case it will come down to your SAT score. That’s critical.
and keep that GPA really high. aim for a 4.6 or higher. Harvard rejected thousands of 4.0s last year, so thats a lot of pressure. show that you really want to accepted. even if that means having to travel long distances.
Good luck and i hope this helped.
