College Interview?
I’m applying to MIT and they have optional interviews. Statiscally, they said if you have an interview, it will greatly improve you’re chances of getting in. I think they said 16% of the people who had interviews were admitted and only 9% without. My question is whether or not I should interview. It seems like a good idea, but I’ve already spoken to the guy who is appointed to me (in an informal setting) and we do NOT get along. He’s just incredibly boring and he thinks I’m an idiot. So, should I take the interview and be grouped with that 16% even though he doesn’t like me? Or should I take my chances and just not schedule and interview?

You should definitely do an interview! This will give you the chance to change his opinion about you! Also, many schools hire other people to conduct interviews just because of the volume of poeple coming in, so you may not even end up with him!

I think that having the interview will give you a chance to impress him. You’re not going to do that by avoiding him. Also, if he really doesn’t like you, an interview isn’t going to hurt.
Do some research and see if you can request someone else. Don’t ask him that though ^_^
