college application?
for the volunteer section of the application it says “volunteer work and community service”. Can the services be a one time thing? Or does it have to be volunteering at the hospital for three years for example?

Volunteering can be a one time thing, but I know most colleges prefer that it be something like working at a hospital or other longer term events then just something quick to show commitment. Personally I would put what you have on there because it is still showing you care about some sort of community.
