Can you major in biology (or any science) and go to a liberal arts college?

This may sound like a stupid question, but one of my friends wants to become a doctor and I was curious as to whether he could major in biology or chemistry or any science if he goes to a liberal arts college.

Yes. Nearly all liberal arts colleges have majors in biology and chemistry. Just check the course catalog or other literature. A few liberal arts colleges even have engineering.

Liberal arts faculties show you to many diverse fields. At a liberal arts college, the credit required on your degree will paintings as follows: a million/3 primary training training (40 credit) a million/3 Electives (40 cedits) – those are in basic terms training which you particularly go with to take. you’re exploring the subject count, yet those training are no longer on your significant and not in that branch a million/3 your significant (40 credit) The majors provided will rely on the size of the school (bigger faculties will, frequently, have greater majors attainable than smaller faculties might). Liberal arts faculties tend to be small and are in general for undegraduates – the majors they have precisely will selection in keeping with what the scholars go with (ie. if there is adequate pastime in the pupil physique for a Geology significant, the school could furnish a Geology significant). There are many times a minimum of four techniques attainable in the sciencesa and constantly a math significant. some good liberal arts faculties are (in no particular order): Smith college Oberlin Earlham college Williams college Swarthmore college Amherst college (a greater by record is in the internet website I even have provided)
