In the US, a university is a collection of colleges, like a College of Business, a College of Education, and a College of Arts and Sciences.
A college consists only of the College of Arts and Sciences.
While most universities offer graduate degrees, some colleges also do so.
A University is another instutition, the main difference being you can attend University at any time, but normally once you have finished college. Anyone from any age can join University, but you have to pay tuition fees, as well as accomodation (if you are living away from home for the duration.) University courses can last from anything from 3 to 7 years. There are almost 120 universities in the UK.
