Can i get my Master’s (someday) even though i dropped out of high school?

At 24, i realized that i had completely wasted 6 years of my life avoiding a formal education. I got my GED soon afterwards, and i am currently working on my A.A. i have hopes of continuing my education to the graduate level and was wondering if i had any chance of ever getting accepted into a graduate program considering my educational history.

Sure. Get as many A’s in community college as you can. Transfer to 4-year college & get straight A’s, if you can. Then, grad. schools should look favorably on you. If possible do volunteer or paid work, or internship, in your field of interest, to show them you’re really motivated in that area, too.

You need to do well in the AA and then BA programs, then absolutely. At 24, if you did well in the undergrad programs, nobody is concerned about your high school GPA.

High school kids are just that- kids. A 30 year old with work experience and 2 degrees is an adult who has proven he wants to study.

I encourage your wish to continue your education. However, I think you can’t get a Master’s if you dropped out of high school. No university can accept that, it’s the truth. So think of other ways leading to success.

if you make a good GPA with your AA and BS degrees, and score well on any entrance exams you have to take, I don’t think they will worry about the GED anymore, that will be ancient history.

There are many universities that offer part-time and / or correspondence courses, at bachelors, masters and other levels, too, in most countries.
