Ohio State would almost be a slam dunk. Out of state schools would hammer you on the tuition.

While grades and SAT scores can be important in the admissions decision if you have a story to tell then that is always good. That usually comes into play when you have to write essays for the applications explaining your plans for the future or whatever else they ask. I think you should be okay though. Just apply for multiple schools so you have back ups. You can also call the admissions office for the school I am sure they will be more than willing to help. Good Luck!!!!!

Michigan is a highly-competitive school, so you may have trouble with that one, but I think you stand a good chance at the other two. Your challenge will be to show them that you aren’t just an underachiever. The fact that you are at a premium high school in the region may help, because you might be expected to have a harder time competing on grades there. Also, if your lower grades happened earlier in your schooling but you have improved, the low grades may be seen as a sign of immaturity.

Well it depends on what the requirements for those schools are. Yet you are on a good track you have great scores and your GPA is good. So dont stress your doing fine. Just make sure that you have a kick *** perosnal statement sometimes that is what makes the difference.

Good Luck

And the universities are going to determine that out-which you do no longer practice your self at school- so particular your GPA will harm you. My daughter’s scholarship became a mixture of her GPA and ACT rankings. you could bypass online at school information superhighway sites to work out what the standards are for their scholarships.

The problem with mediocre grades but testing well is that it seems to scream “I’m not living up to my potential” as in, lazy. I’m not saying that is true, but I am saying that when you can do the tests but you don’t do the courses, maybe you just slack off in class, it looks like you are smart but lazy and schools don’t like that.
