Sure, if he/she goes to medical school.
An anesthesiologist is a specialized MD. You must attend medical school to become a doctor, there’s no way around it.

Absolutely. It simply requires 4 years of medical school and 4 years of residency, just like every other anesthesiologist has had.
A CRNA would certainly have an advantage in medical school, as much of the physiology and pharmacology would be familiar.
