Yes, a non- degree student can change his/her status to a degree seeking student as long as that student applies to the university as a degree seeking student and gets formally admitted. I am not sure about the financial aid (loans) for a non- degree seeking student. The FAFSA usually asks if you are degree seeking, so I assume you need to be in order to be eligible for aid. To get all of your questions answered, talk to somebody in your college’s records and registration department and somebody in the office of financial aid.

Good luck!

A non-degree student must apply to the college in order to be a degree seeking student. As far as I know (having worked in higher ed for a number of years), non-degree students can take a loan, but it might have to be a personal loan through your bank as opposed to a student loan as some loan companies require students to be enrolled full-time.

Students who are looking for a bad credit student loan should pick three schools they are most interested in, talk to the admissions office, and ask what is needed to apply in their school.A bad creditdepending on whether you are a homeowner or not. The rate of interest to be paid on unsecured bad credit student loans is higher than that on secured bad credit student loans. This is because the secured bad credit student loans are backed by your home as a security.

It depends on the college that you are enrolled in. I believe that you could get student loans as long as you are taking a certain number of credit courses. Check it out with your college.
