Are you allowed to take a gap year if you apply for university?
I am applying for university. I want to take a gap year next year to earn money and do other stuff. This is all if i pass my exams and don’t have to sit an extra year since i am only doing 1 A-level and 2 AS levels right now. If I am not offered a place then I will sit the extra year and then I MIGHT or might not take a gap year the year after.
However, I dont quite understand the gap year and applying for uni? It seems weird that you apply for university and then take a gap year? when you take a gap year is the offer still there? is this even allowed?
Should i mention in my Personal Statement that i will take a gap year depending if i pass my A levels or not?

I wouldn’t mention i plan on taking a break. Unless you just want to go through the process for trail and error. Apply, do your paper work get your references. If you meet all the requirements chances are you will get in. If you do time management well U can work and go to school 90% of peope I know in higher ed work and go to school.
