Anyone went to community college?

How much percent of your tuition did you pay without loans and scholarships …etc? and how much percent did you pay for everything else (like living expenses) without loans and scholarships and stuff. And who paid it for you?

I attended community college (CC). However it was more than 15 years ago. Believe it or not, the tuition was about $250 for 12-18 credits. Did not apply for financial aid and I lived at home since the CC is less than 2 miles from where I live. I was fortunate that my father paid for my education.

Community college is a good way to start off your education if you don’t necessarily know what you want to major in, if you are looking to save some money or if you do not meet the admission requirements for a 4-year university. If there is a particular 4-year university that you are interested in, see if there is a CC that is affiliated with it. It’ll make your transfer smoother since there probably is a transfer articulation agreement between the CC and the 4-year university.

Also, at the beginning of your college career, you’ll be fulfilling general education requirements and it is a lot more affordable to attend a CC rather than the 4-year university.

Best wishes!
