Am I dumb? :)?
Okay so for around a month now, I have been enrolled in a sign language class in my school. Everybody else seems to get the hang, but me… i’m really bad. Well not bad, I just need more time. On my first test I received a 67%.. I know….bad. Do you think i’m dumb for not being able to get it as fast as everybody else does, or am I just normal?

First of all, it’s sooo cool your school offers sign language. You are not dumb. Maybe this is just a skill that is harder for you. I’m sure there are things that you think are easy that people who aced the test have difficulty in. I think that it’s just a sign that you need to put a little more effort in to it. I say take the opportunity to learn something valuable and apply yourself.

I met a student in one of my classes who was taking organic chemistry, physics, virology, cellular biology, music history and sign language all in one semester…he said the hardest class out of all of them was sign language….you are not dumb at all…a lot of people I know say it is one hard language to master, so you’re normal

Everyone learns at thier own speed, and in thier own way. Let the teacher know that you are having trouble, maybe they can give you tips on how to pick it up faster.
