Advice on College Major:?

I really need some help on this one.. so please tell me what you would do in this situation.

I am a junior in high school, I am in all honors classes and 1 AP class– I have a 4.3 GPA– and I want to major in Computer Science at a college in New York state. The problem is that in ever good college in NY, and even the not so great ones, require Physics and/or Chemistry. At my high school they put me on the Integrated Science Track, so Physics and Chemistry are not a part of my curriculum. I emailed one school and they said that I HAVE to take thoses classes in order to be admitted into their program.

If I can not get into a good college for computer science would I have to find a new major?

I am going to talk to my guidance councelor as soon as I can to see what I can do, but if I can not do anything.. what would you do in my situation?

Thank you.

I’m sure that Physics and Chemistry are taught at your High School. You still have another year of HS — so you need to make sure that you take them next year. You may be able to take them at a local college — so you can look into that, too.

It sounds like someone at your High School has dropped the ball. Make them help you.

Yes, just take physics and chemistry next year at your school or a local college or take it through correspondence any time.
