I am sooo confused.
My guess is that there’s no way to tell. If A always beats B, and B always beats C – then logic would have it that A is the fastest.
But C always beats A.
However – logic shouldn’t figure in here – because every race is different, and statistics can change. So just because X always beat Y before doesn’t mean that the same outcome will happen in a future race. Competitions are not sure things based on past performance.
Ask any horse bettor. 🙂

Those three rules cannot all be true at once. if B is better than C AND A is better than B, then A and B are both better than C, so C cannot always beat A.
