When citing the page number in a quote, do you put it after the quotations, or inside??
For example:
Machiavelli believes that fortune “leaves half a world to our governance. “(p.127) and that to be truly successful one must act boldly, but adapt to the circumstances that fate presents.
Or should it be :
Machiavelli believes that fortune “leaves half a world to our governance. (p.127) “and that to be truly successful one must act boldly, but adapt to the circumstances that fate presents.
