There are afew reasons a child may be left handed. Even if the parents are both right handed, the child could still be left. It depends more on if twins run in the family. Many people who are born left handed are that way because they were mirror twins in the womb, but their sibling died earlier on in the pregnancy.

About 1/9 of the population is left handed. If it was purely statistical than there is a 1/81 chance that both kids would be left handed, however the fact that both parents are right handed would suggest that is even more uncommon for both kids to differ from both parents in a minority. So the odds would be a little worse than 1/81.

Also kids do not just learn to be one hand or the other, they are born with it. Left handed peoples brains are opposite of right handed peoples brains. You can force a kid to use his opposite hand to write with, but they have done psychological studies showing that making a child use his non-dominant hand has severe pyschological affects on his development.

I bear in mind being at candlestick and looking out on the Giants and Braves. For some reason there grew to become into this sea gull that purely hung around on the sector throughout the time of the completed interest. The chook might bypass and get interior the way of the pitcher and the interest had to be stopped some situations. every time some one from the Braves might attempt to scare the chook off, all human beings might boo the participant. ultimately the chook made its thank you to first base and have been given interior the way of performs. Grounds keepers might chase it and it would fly away in straight forward terms back lower back a minute later with all human beings applauding it.. The chook left around the seventh inning.

Whatever hand the parents places a crayon or spoon, that child will get used to using that hand, and by the parents both being righties, the children are too.

I don’t know. I think it’s partly about genetics and partly about who teaches them to write. But I don’t know. Both my parents are left handed and I’m the firstborn so I guess they taught me to write left handed but my younger brothers are both right handed.

it really just depends on what they favor more.

I know a kid that can throw baseball either hand/arm…w/e…yeah.

My little cousin’s a lefty, and both her parents are righties.

She just kinda used her left hand for most of her toys when she was little. It really just seems to me to be one of the few “random” things in life.

It isnt about odds. It is about which hand the child chooses to write with. Most choose right because teachers encourage it.
