i need help in know what are some things that can prevent a fish from swimming. and i am talking about fidh in the river and in the ocean. please help me!! thank you

Bacteria and algae can kill them, thus preventing them from swimming.

There is a disease that fish can get called “air bladder disease”. This is an infection of the air bladder that keeps the fish upright in the water. When it is infected, the fish will usually be found lying on it’s side, attempting to swim. The infection is usually caused by a bacteria.
