My roommate leaves his voice chat software on while his not in the room…wtf?

My roommate leaves his voice chat software on while he’s not in the room, that makes me feel like being spied.

He’s always voice chatting with someone when his in the room (playing WOW, err), which made me get into a fight with him. After that incident, I decided keep myself out of that room as long as I can. But, when the only time I am in the room, I can still hear voice from his headphone…which means that person can also hear sounds I make.

Yes, I tried to dorm with someone else but this won’t happen til this semester ends. What would you do when you face $*#t like this? Obviously, there’s no way I can talk to a prick like him again.

most of that voice software has a push to talk button

therefore, unless you are at his computer holding down a certain key on his keyboard, anything you say/do can not be heard on the other end

I also use teamspeak on my CPU games and PS3. Yes you can hear what other people are saying, but for them to hear you, you would need to be talking pretty loud, and near the mic. Ignore it or put a towel or shirt over the mic if it still bothers you.

Try to see if you can get him to use a push to talk binding key. That way you must press a button before he speaks to transmit noise or if that is too cumbersome tell him to unplug his microphone.
