In theory, if you could make a tunnel from one side of the earth to the other lets say from london to sydney?
and from london you dropped a house brick would you get hit in the face in Sydney if you happened to look down the tunnel.

No, the earth’s gravitational pull would keep the brick in the center of the tunnel, except for the fact that the air friction and the intense heat of the earth’s core would probably incinerate the brick long before it got to the center.
