If someone offered you $500,000- to sail the Titanic in 2012 would you?

The Titanic’s 100th Anniversary.

Absolutely. I would figure that it would be the safest ship to board with the Titanic monicker and such. Also, I would come equipped with my own inflatable life raft and paddle and be in first class.

to sail on the titanic would be impossible because “the greatest ship” is at the bottom of the ocean. the ship would have to be named something else. the last thing would be that a person can offer another person money, but if the task is completed it isn’t guaranteed that the money is waiting for you there at the end of the trip. lastly it is not possible to “sail” a ship the size of the titanic, there were no sails on the original titanic.

Unless they are planning a mid-voyage re-inactment of the original catastrophe, I would be glad to go. Why would anyone offer someone half-a-million dollars to take a cruise?

well duh!! if you have ever researched why the titanic sank you would know that the captain of the titanic received a lot of messages from surrounding ships warning them about ice bergs. then, when the titanic did get hit, the titanic’s sister ship didn’t come to aid it. the white star cruise line has now made further rules and standards that it would be almost impossible for this to happen again

Yes. I’d just jump in the water, (Titanic’s already down below) then claim I sailed it one millimeter.^^ No one could ever tell the difference.

Yes, and with the $500,000 I wouldn’t have to ride steerage. Also, it helps that maritime law requires lines of communication be kept operating at all times.

of course, so i could pretend to be rose and go screw in a car like a BMW or something and dance on the lower decks with the help and get drunk off 40 OZ instead of champagne

if only i was in first class

and then in case it sinks again, i’ll just rip off a door, steal a whistle, and sleep on the door until the lifeboats come back searching for live bodies in the mass of dead bodies in the water.

just like Rose did.

Would it be an exact replica? What class would I be in? You know what? I would probably do it for free. The Titanic interests me that much…
