say they make about 100 MILLION american flags every year

that not counting the smaller firms that perhaps arent member of the FMAA but still make american flags rthat might be another 2 million

in 2006, over $5.3 million dollars in American flags were imported by the U.S. from other countries, primarily China. This figure is consistent with other years, except for 2001, when almost $52 million in U.S. flag sales were imported after 9/11.

i dunno how many flags we got now just in the USA jjust produced in one single year

and im sure this figures do not include smaller hand held flags but just the larger flags for putting outside

next consider that this amount of american flags is produced every year

next consider the older american flags which are still around there probably billions of them

of course the number goes down as people burn them (hopefully only because it is torn or tatted or faded!) or tourists visiting the US buy the flags and take them out of the US (like i did – im from england)

i think t would be impossib;e top count this incredibly large number but from the info above you might get an idea!!

i have 64 american flags (i think 14 are made outside the US – 12 49 star flags that were made in Japan 1 flag made in England and 1 from China- so 50 US made flags) in my house here in england and i know another collector of world flags who has a fare few US flags aswell.
