Define Social Darwinism : those who deserve to do well do well, those who are not intelligent enough or unable to — will falter……. only the best will survive…….
So — how does that — or does it connect to the works of Thoreau and Emerson?
what do they write about? Thoreau was into simple living and non-violent resistance to unjust govt.
Emerson was a great influence on Thoreau and was also a transcendentalist — he believed in an individual’s ability to go beyond the physical and structure of social institutions……..
So from that — do you think they would have supported social darwinism??
