Yes, for the most part, I do. As with any source, you need to check things against other reliable sources, but wikipedia can be a great help and provides a tremendous amount of information on just about any topic you can think of. I know many people who contribute, and they are all sincere and dedicated people, very interested in the topic they edit. The drawback of wikipedia is that if your topic has been produced by a limited number of contributers, for example, you may be getting a very one-sided view of the topic. So, when you use common sense, wikipedia is a valuable resource.

I do for the most part, though when I use things in report, I always use things I can cross reference with more then one site. Wikipedia has been cracking down, so you have to be a member to modify the pages. And if I see anything absolutely ridiculous, I ignore it. You’ve just got to use your head.

Yes, I trust Wikipedia. Even though anyone can log in and put false answers, most of the time they are right. Just read the information, and decided if it’s ridiculous, or reasonable.

Usually I look just for fun facts or to get an idea of the topic I’m studying but I never cite it, because really, someone could put a realistic-sounding fact hidden in the history of fluggelhorns and I would have no idea.You have to take it w/ a grain of salt.

Yeah! I was dubious at first, but Wikipedia has been put through some pretty tough tests by independent academics, and it’s come out well. Better than most encyclopedias.

I seen the tar cooking and the bag of feathers as quickly as I got here in. i might tend to be in easy terms somewhat scared. exceptionally when you caught karma & me final night in a compromising place. lol.

My teacher told em not to trust that guy. he’s a fat guy who stays home all the time and writes random tings i guess. or at least thats whut i was told.. he’s not credible.

I do, and I always always use it unless my teacher specifically says not to for a paper.

i do not trust it becuase wikkipedia is purely definitions that people put in. meaning almost anyone can put crap in so its not the greatest source
