AP Lang Tips To Do Well on Essays and in General?
Im a junior and im three weeks into my AP Language & Composition class I have been doing good on everything except the essays are killing me I got a 5 on my essay today with the highest possible score being an 8. So I got a 77/100 on it but everything else ive been doing great. What some usefull tips for AP Lang essays, how can I improve, what should I do. I have probably a B but I need an A in that class. Help PLEASE!!!

essay is mainly based on the comprehension of the questions it could be there is a better word to use or you did not answer the prompt correctly or not detailed enough i suggest you find past essay question and study them! i can’t help alot since i’m not sure which language ur taking

Im in the exact same situation. What I am going to do is that when I write an essay, I’m going to be focus more on what I’m writing and less on how I write it. This way, I express my own personal opinions in essays and not get distracted trying to sound smart by using big words. I will also analysis the text more (look at title, author, year written)
