Maria 10

Cole 6

Justin 18

Palooma 2

Start with what you know. Maria rented 10. Then it’s simple arithmetic to find out how many Cole rented 10 – 4 = 6. Cole rented 4 more than Palooma therefore 6 – 4 = 2 for Palooma. Lastly Justin rented 3 x 6(Cole) = 18

MAria – 10 DVDs

Cole- 6 DVDs

Palooma- 2 DVDs

Justin- 18 DVDs

MAria —–10

Cole equals four less than maria (6)

Cole rents four more than palooma so 6(cole)- 4= 2 DVDs for palooma

Justin equals three times more than cole (6) so 6(cole) times 3 equals 18 DVDs for Justin
