Who was the oddest teacher you ever had and why?

Mine has to go to my first grade teacher. She was in her upper 60’s or more and has very baggy lids. Some days they bothered her so much she taped them open with scotch tape!!!

I was scared to death of her.

She also got very angry if you touched any of her plants she had all over the place.

I thought it’d be fun to hear some other stories.

My sixth grade teacher was really bizarre. He would start the day by having us copy pages of names and numbers from the telephone book. (??) He would ask us to answer questions about materials we had just read about out loud in class then accuse us of lying to him about the facts. This really confused the heck out of us! But the most odd thing he did was was that many, many times he told us about how he had been in the Korean War and had had his head cut all the way off, but that surgeons had re-attached it. He refused to show us the scars, because he said he didn’t want us to think he was a freak. (too late!) Sewing back on his head…that might have explained a lot!! My younger sister had him as a teacher two years later and he was still doing the same whacky stuff! He told her class that he had worked for the CIA, but couldn’t say anything more than that because he was undercover. He was certainly the oddest teacher I ever had!

Had a psychology professor in college who wore the same thing everyday. We always wondered how many of the same shirt and pair of pants he had. Did he buy in bulk? Or was it actually the very same shirt and pair of pants? Just washed every night?

Also had an English teacher in 9th grade who seriously looked like a dude, but no, she was a lady. You know kids, we made fun of her all the time. I found out later in the school year that she worked in a chemical/plastics plant for a long time. I wonder if it wreaked havoc on her hormones or something.

by no ability had a creeper instructor, luckily. i’ve got heard memories approximately some instructors on the college that I almost went to nonetheless. putting the gorgeous women on the front and such. however the college that i bypass to is particularly small and all the classes are progressed, so they’re selective with regard to the academics interior the 1st place. And if there became a creeper instructor, it would circulate quickly and anybody, inclusive of administration, would comprehend approximately it very rapidly.

hmm…I absolutely love my lit. teacher Ms. Mowat! She is so funny, she acts all tough and stuff, but when you get to know her, she’s really great! I used to go in her room early all the time during the school year, and she told me tons of stories about her sons, and the time she flew somewhere for vacation, and when she returned someone had stolen her car! Plus, she has a great selection of books! She can always recommend a great book for a dreary day!

Anyway, one day she brought a knife to school. She even pulled it out of her desk drawer and showed it to us. She threatened us that whoever didn’t turn in their homework would get to touch it, or something like that. My theory was she was going to a wedding and had to cut the cake. She was really just joking, and didn’t get in trouble by anyone.

My high school debate teacher never took his left hand out of his pocket. There was lots of speculation about that. We were never allowed to debate. Instead, we had to study vocabulary words from old Reader’s Digests. We had a test every week. He left the room when we were testing and we had to sign a statement saying we hadn’t cheated……yeah, right! During my senior year, he began calling my house at night. He was obviously drunk. My parents contacted the principal and put an end to that nonsense. Awwww…..good times. lol

My Spanish teacher in undergrad was in his 60’s and kept 40-50 pictures of teenaged boys in swimsuits hanging up in his office. I’m not even going to get into what he was like in class 🙁
