Well, to answer this question accurately, I may need a bit more info. First off, how old are you….do you have any college education so far? If you have no college so far, it will take you about 4 years full time to complete this goal.

If you are working full time, how many classes do you think you can handle? I ask this because I worked full time all throughout high school and college, but I know many people who could not do this. Also, your age would come into consideration here because if you are married or have kids, or if you are living on your own those are all factors that can make things more diffucult. If you are still living at home with your parents things may be a little easier.

Anyway, I will give a few answers about where to begin.

If you have no college classes, you are going to need to get all the general education classes taken care of. It usually consists of 2 English, 2 Science, 2 Math, and 2 History classes. Depending on the college they may require you to take a theology class, a technology class, some type of business of communications class, they usually require 2-3 electives, you Teachers Education classes, and then depending on what you want to teach (history, science, math, english, or elementary) – you usually have to take about 9 classes in your overall major.

If you decide to go part time, I would take as many general education classes as you can handle per semester…I would actually recommend going over the summer as well to speed up the process a little. If you go to the school your interested in, you can go over a program with an advisor and tell them how many classes you are willing to take each semester. They will also incorporate your teaching classes when necessary because you have to take some before taking the rest.

If you have college classes already, you can most likely transfer some of your credits to the college you prefer to go to. Which classes will transfer just depends on the college you went to and the college you now choose to go to.

Well, let me know what you think of my answer. If you have any more questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]……I will respond most likely tomorrow morning….I work 12-12 today.

Good Luck!!

Just start slow and steady. Sign up at your community college or local university for an evening or weekend class each semester. It will take time, but at least you are working toward attaining your goal.

Good luck to you.

Timing is everything, but you can be a teachers aid and get paid. You just gotta watch the teachers, they make you do things YOU are NOT supposed to do. Some thing you would expect working with a bunch of conniving bitches
