At that point, you’d be hirable. There are other routes to get your certification, like if you had a bachelor’s in another field…then there are things you could do to obtain certification, but if you know at this point you want to be an elementary teacher, then get your BA in elementary education. There is a bachelors for every level of education — secondary, middle school, and elementary. If you decide to go secondary or middle school, then you often have to pick a “minor” (core subject area – math, science, social studies, communication arts, etc.)
