Hence, someone with an IQ of 100 has “normal” skills resolving mathematical and logical problems. Someone with an IQ of 80 has difficulty answering the same logical/mathematical questions than joe average. While someone with an IQ of 140 is really keen and good in solving mathematical and logical problems.
So, you have an IQ of 95… It just means that your a *little* below the average compard to the nation. Does it means your dumb ? Absolutely not! You are probably better then others in other fields such as linguistics (you will NEVER see a grammar question in IQ tests), sports (there is such a thing as sports intelligence – where athletes outperform everyone), music, etc… Back in college, we were told that psychologists thoroughly studied the subject and found at least 7 different types of intelligence while the IQ test only evaluates 2.
Think of joining Mensa? If you pass the tests, congratulations! You are very gifted to solve mathematical/engineering/logical problems. BUT, you will notice that no one is perfect and everyone can be better in different fields.
below 80 is mildly retarded (or delayed)
above 120 is well-above average
some geniuses are reported to be above 200
You might look up Mensa, organization whose members must have a measured IQ above a certain figure in order to join.
