As far as basic skills I think all kids should know, brushing your teeth, washing your hands, and not sharing food and drinks are the biggies. The latter two are beneficial for everyone since they help prevent the spread of germs.

I agree w/the first poster, that parents should be the ones teaching this stuff. Unfortunately, not all parents think this way, and their children shouldn’t have to suffer as a result.

Your best bet is to check with your state’s health curriculum to see what is deemed appropriate to teach.

The first is basic brushing of the teeth. that’ll last them a life-time and they will thank you for it.

Second is to always flush the toilet and then wash their hands.

Again it’ll last a life-time and everyone else will thank you for it
