Tutor advertising?
Can anyone suggest how I would start advertising myself as a tutor for Elementary aged kids?

If it were me, I think I would approach the principal of each Elementary school in the area. If you’re polite and come across as helpful, it might save you a lot of advertising.
I’m sure there’s a need for tutors at the elementary level, and with the school’s help/permission, you might be able to have a handout or announcement sent home with each student explaining your services.
I would suggest drawing up a nice, clean resume listing your experience (have you done tutoring previously, or student teaching?) List your major(s) and GPA and anything else that might help build confidence in others about your tutoring skills.

Take advantage of free online business directories like BookMyCity, Yelp, etc. Make sure your name is everywhere. Not to mention young kids and young parents are all online these days.
