Ahh…memories…I filled out my application for a TEFL program a year ago! Now? I am a full time teacher in Prague! YAY! So…

Make sure (and this sounds obvious) to check your spelling and grammar. They DO look at it!

Be honest with your answers so that the school can be honest with you. You don’t want to get accepted an then find out that it was not what you hoped. My course was really fun, but really intensive and they were totally honest about that up front. I was grateful to know so that I could be prepared when I began.

Remember that teaching TEFL is a very communicative effort…so communicate! Let them know why you want to teach abroad and what led you to your decision.

You should be fine. 🙂 And good luck! I soooo loved my TEFL program! I now have a life, a job, and little family here in Prague because of them! Yay! If you are open to other schools (I don’t know which program you are doing) check out my Alma mater! – I am their biggest cheerleader!

You’ll be great!
