Yes I recommend it, especially since some extra cash comes in handy while going through med school. My husband is a teacher in LAUSD and he says substitutes get from $120-$150 a day.
All you got to do is choose a nice district and stick with it. Also, if they call you from certain ugly areas, go once in a while… or they’ll drop you from their list.
There are still some schools that are year round, try those too.
