should I drop the class??

I am taking the health science class in this summer. I felt so tense for this class. The class is actually quite easy and fun, however taking science class in the short period semester may not a good choice. we have three texts during this semester but I already failed (F)one already…I know that each of the test count for 25% of the grade…I feel like may be I should drop it???

Well if you can do it and have time to study go for it!

But in the long run if it doesn’t interest you and lowers your GPA just drop it! I had a long discussion about this with many people when I wanted to drop French!

A bad grade can devastate a student who plans to apply to colleges, scholarships or graduate schools, in terms of both self-esteem and future prospects. Here are some suggestions for dealing with low or failing grades.

Steps

1

Step One

If you feel you’ve received a grade in error, ask the teacher to review it. Or if you misunderstood an assignment, ask if you can redo it. Visit during regular office hours and remain calm while you discuss the matter.

2

Step Two

If you deserved the poor grade, ask the teacher if you can do an extra-credit assignment to make up for your performance. Ask to retake the test if you have a legitimate excuse, such as an illness or a death in the family.

3

Step Three

If you are doing poorly in a class, check with the registrar’s office to see if you can take the class on a pass or no-pass basis, or drop it entirely, to avoid marring your transcript with a bad grade.

4

Step Four

Visit the registrar’s office if the grade is already on your transcript. Ask if the school has a policy on retaking classes; some schools allow this. The bad grade will remain on your transcript, but your grade point average (GPA) will not include it.

5

Step Five

Petition the registrar’s office if you feel you received a low grade in error or unfairly. Follow the registrar’s guidelines when you file the petition.

6

Step Six

Ask a counselor in the registrar’s office if you can do anything else. Some schools will drop the lowest grade on your transcript, although this is highly unusual.

I was taking a technical calculus class this summer and after the 3rd day I decided to drop it. I am not horrible at math at all, but there was so much material to learn in a small time span. Since you already failed one of the tests, there will be a lot of pressure on you to do better and since I am in a health science major,I know the information is only going to get harder. Just take your time. If you aren’t in a hurry to graduate from college maybe stay an extra semester or take the class when you don’t have such a hard work load. Best of luck!

Your decision is wrong.Because when we attend any class we get knowledge which is helpful for us in our life.some times funny things make our life easy as compare to serious things. On the other hand you say your class is easy for you.Which is better for you because you get knowledge from it in a funny manner which is every one want.Because more classes are boring and student got nothing from it.

If you fail in one semester you should not drop others because when you attend other semester you got more experience about those semesters which is helpful for you.Fail semester you can pass any other time.We should learn from our defeats and be courageously and hopeful for next time you will be successful only you. This will give you courage.Fail ours and defeats make a man strong nor weak.we should make our failours and defeats our power then you can achieve your goal.

That would probably depend if you’re taking the course because you need the credit, or if you’re trying to improve your grades for college. If you just want the credit and you think you can still pass it, then don’t drop it. But if you think you don’t have a chance to catch up or get the grade you want, then yes.

Drop it before it’s too late. You can always retake the course when you’re ready. With summer going on…it’s easy to get distracted and your motivation for school just goes down the drain.
