My teacher(Dr) is not teaching us how to give a injection?
My teacher(Dr) is not teaching us how to give a injection. She expected from us to do it without any lecture and practice.Or we won’t pass the class. We’ve been giving shots and hurting each other?

Perhaps you can talk with the coordinator of the program. I’m sure that he or she would be appalled, quite disturbed knowing that info.

When I was in nursing school 8 million yrs. ago, we started by giving injections to oranges before we gave them to one another. I even taught a blind pediatric diabetic patient to do it this way. (before she gave a saline shot to me to prove she learned it–talk about incentive to teach well) The resistance given by the orange skin is much like human skin so it “feels” right.
As far as whether you are at the right place to give the injection anatomically. Try giving the “shot” with a magic marker and then check your aim against your textbook.
Good luck and don’t worry. Big bag of oranges and couple of syringes, you guys will be giving shots like pros in no time .
(PS–IMHO, most doctors give LOUSY shots)

Talk to your teacher and tell her you want to learn how to do it correctly so you don’t hurt each other. This is vitally important, because if you give each other air embolisms, you can cause paralysis or death.
