First, simplify.

(w-32+6) = (w-26)

This is because -32+6=-26.

Now, -10 = w-26

Add 26 to both sides of the equation.

(w-26+26) = (w-0) = (w)

-10+26=16.

Now, w=16.

Done!

To check, change the w to 16, because w=16.

Now, -10=16-32+6.

Solve 16-32+6.

16-32=-16

Now, -10=-16+6.

-16+6=-10.

-10=-10, so all the work is right!

put the w on one side and the numbers on the other. To do this, add 32 to both sides and subtract 6 from both sides. That way, you haven’t changed the equation since you did the same thing to both sides.

-10+32-6=w

w=16

-10=w-32+6 first simplify the -32+6

-10=w-26

+26 +26 add the 26

16=w

Hope this helped!
